Mikhail and Carmen witness a natural wonder.
Carmen and Mikhail stood at the center of the courtyard among the villagers, waiting for something only he knew. She was unsure of what to think of this frozen nation, until he pointed towards the horizon.
Streaks of green and blue lights chasse’d through the skies, parading a steady spectacle. The locals exclaimed with familiar delight, while a stringed trio improvised to accompany the dancing vision.
Carmen was so deep in awe she nearly overlooked Mikhail’s inviting hand. She accepted, following his lead into a slow waltz.
Immersed in natural wonder, two strangers discovered a new wonder in each other.

This prompt explores the first meeting of Mikhail and Carmen, a sort of “pair” to another prompt, Eyes. This specific scene has been stuck in my head for a long time, and it’ll no doubt carry into the larger Skyrates narrative.
