’s writing prompt, Heartbreak.

One of my long-standing stories focuses on a Miami teen moving up north and adapting to a new way of life. Her new friends include three brothers, who impact her coming of age story in a variety of ways.

For subsequent Thorny Thursday contributions, I will focus on her relationship with each of the boys. But for this week, we’ll focus on one of the guys.

The main character of this prompt is Jake Taylor, the middle brother. This takes place before he meets Izzy, and this moment plays a role in their relationship journey down the line.

Purple is her favorite color. 

He reached her house and looked into her window, to find Ryan making his way under her shirt.

He threw the roses into her pool.

Purple is his hated color.
